Brigadeiro is a VERY popular dessert in Brazil. It is usually served as small rolls, with chocolate sprinkles. At home, I pour it into a plate and we just spoon it and enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 tbs unsalted butter
4 tbs chocolate powder
1 can condensed milk
Preparation:
1. Put all the ingredients together in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Stir until thickened, about 10 minutes. You will see it is good when you can see the bottom of the pan for a while when stirring (see picture).
3. Remove from heat and pour into a plate.
4. Let rest until cool enough to eat.
The ingredients I use:
Chocolate powder: I usually use Toddy, a Brazilian chocolate powder I always have at home because I still couldn’t find one I like as much to make chocolate milk.
Condensed milk: La lechera (called Moça in Brazil), do you a favor and use this one! You can find it in the International session on most US supermarkets, or Braziliam Grocery stores. There is another brand I also like very much, but harder to find, called Piracanjuba.
